Piece no. 1

Serenity, absence.
For sime time now I wanted to paint something dead and capture it without the typical negative connotation. To convey the emptiness of it. Not in the negative sense of the word… The peace, the silence. The absence of time (and space).

This should be left unsaid, but since you are still reading this I’ll go on… I wanted this piece to work kind of as a question. I wanted the viewer to imagine the lady who is supposed to sit in that chair. Where is she? Did she leave the room? Isn’t she laying on the floor? If she indeed is down on the floor, how that changes your view about the bird on the table… Doesn’t it look more serene? How that changes the room, when no one is going to return through that door?
